UNDIP 174th Graduation Ceremony

FPIK, SEMARANG – On Wednesday (24/4) Diponegoro University (UNDIP) held its 174th graduation ceremony which was held at the Muladi Dome Building, Undip Tembalang campus. The graduation ceremony was held in 4 (four) stages on April 23 to 26 April 2024. The graduation ceremony was attended by 181 graduates of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK) from the Marine Science, Oceanography, Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources Management, Fishery Product Technology and Capture Fisheries study programs, consisting of 168 graduates from undergraduate program, 12 graduates from master program, and 1 from doctoral program. In this graduation period, 1 graduate from the Bachelor program of Oceanography study program, Salsabila Aulia Putri, who is also one of the best graduates with the cumlaude title, was appointed as a reader of the Janji Alumni which was then followed by all other graduates.

Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., Rector of Diponegoro University congratulated the graduates and their parents on their achievements because they have now successfully reached the graduation point. As he’s been saying, it is believed that Diponegoro University graduates will be able to implement the knowledge they have gained with integrity and they will be able to compete professionally, based on the results of QS Ranking for Employability 2021-2022, and Top 8 National Rank for World University Rank 2023 according to QS WUR, which states that UNDIP graduates are the fastest to get employed compared to graduates from other universities. FPIK as part of Undip will always hold onto its commitment to improve the quality and credibility of its education so that it can produce the best graduates who will become the main drivers of the country’s progress in the fields of education, economy, welfare, humanity, and so on at the national and international levels.

Halal Bihalal at FPIK Undip: Nurturing Relationship with Others

FPIK, SEMARANG – On Wednesday (17/4) FPIK Undip successfully held a Halal Bihalal event for the Big Family of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Diponegoro University. This event took place at the FPIK Undip Auditorium Building and is an annual event held after the long Eid holiday. The event was attended by invited guests, namely the previous FPIK Deans, Professors, Dean, Vice deans, Lecturers, Staff and student representatives.

The event opened with hand shaking event between the attendees. Then continued with remarks from Prof.Ir. Tri Winarni Agustini, Msc., Ph.D. as the Dean of FPIK Undip who said that she’s grateful and happy to be able to maintain ties with the guests present and hopes that the relationship between the academic community in FPIK can continue to be strengthened. After remarks from the Dean, the event continued by listening together to the recitation of Al-Qur’an verses and the translations recited by Ima Wijayanti, S.Pi., M.Si., Ph.D. and Nur Afiani Ratnaningtyas, S.Pi. The event then continued with reciting du’a together guided by Prof. Dr. H. Suparman Syukur, MA. He also delivered brief sermon with the theme “Nurturing Relationship to Form Harmony of Diversity for Goodness and Better Development”.

He said that there are two important things that need to be done by the FPIK Undip academic community, namely establishing friendship before Eid and also after Eid so that the bond of friendship can grow even stronger. He said that good friendship between people will not only bring fortune and a blessed life to us individually but will also strengthen the bond which can have a positive impact on FPIK. After the sermon and du’a recitation, Seto Windarto, S.Pi., M.Sc., M.P. along with Rikha Widiaratih, S.Si., M.Si. as the emcees presented the rewards for the best staff based on the results of survey results announced by the Manager of FPIK Undip, A. Ronin Hidayatullah, S.KM. The event was then continued with a group photo and then the audience was welcomed to enjoy the lunch meals provided by the faculty. The event was closed with the exciting trivia quiz from the MCs and for whoever answer correctly could win door prizes. Hopefully this halal bihalal event can have a positive impact on togetherness of the FPIK Undip family.

Joint Tarawih Prayer in FPIK Undip: Understanding the Blessings of Ramadan

Tuesday (3/26) The Joint Tarawih Prayer and Sermon were successfully held at the Auditorium Building of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Diponegoro University. On this occasion, FPIK Undip together with the Vice Rector 4, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ambariyanto, M.Sc., took the turn as shohibul bait for the Joint Tarawih Prayer and Sermon event which were attended by all Undip academic members, namely the rector, vice rector, deans, vice deans, lecturers, staff, and students. This activity is held every Monday to Thursday during the holy month of Ramadan and is carried out alternately by all faculties and work units at Undip.
The event began with doing congregational isha prayer then continued with Tarawih and witr prayers led by Drs. KH Anasom, M.Hum., the Chairman of PCNU Semarang City. After completing the prayers, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ambariyanto, M.Sc. as the representative of FPIK as well as the Vice Rector 4 gave a brief speech to the audience who attended the Tarawih prayer at FPIK. The event was then continued by Drs. KH Anasom, M.Hum., who preached a sermon related to the topic of the current theme entitled “The Blessings of the Ramadan Month”.
He said that according to related hadith, in this holy month of Ramadan, there are five blessings that can only be obtained specifically in the month of Ramadan. The first is that Allah SWT sees his people who are busy fasting at the beginning of Ramadan. The second, the smell of the mouth of the fasting person is considered by Allah SWT as musk perfume. The third is the angels will pray for us and ask forgiveness for us from Allah SWT. Fourth, Allah SWT will order the guardians of heaven to open the doors of Allah’s paradise for His servants. Then the last blessing is our sins will be forgiven by Allah SWT. KH Anasom advised that Muslims should make the most of the holy month of Ramadan because it is at this special time that Allah SWT the Most Merciful open the door of heavens. Despite the heavy rain that were pouring for quite a while, the congregation remained solemn in doing prayers and listening to the sermon. After the sermon ended, the event was closed by saying Alhamdulillah together and taking a group photo. It is hoped that we will always get abundant blessings from Allah SWT in this special month. The Ministry for Marine Affairs and Fisheries Visits FPIK Undip to Discuss Study Assigments

FPIK, SEMARANG – Friday (8/3) FPIK, SEMARANG – On Friday (8/3), the Centre for Marine and Fisheries Education visited the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science of Diponegoro University, Tembalang Campus, Semarang. This visit was held in order to discuss the implementation of study assignments for Civil Servants of The Ministry for Marine Affairs and Fisheries. This coordination is also to monitor the civil servants of The Ministry for Marine Affairs and Fisheries who are studying at FPIK Undip and to complete the signing of scholarship payment documents consisting of Work Orders (SPK), Record of Transfer (BAST), Official Report of Payment (BAP) and Payment Receipts.
The arrival of the Ministry for Marine Affairs and Fisheries represented by Wawan Kuncoro, S.St. Pi and Fatima Inamunjita were welcomed by FPIK Undip represented by Prof. Ir. Tri Winarni Agustini as Dean, Prof. Agus Trianto, ST., M.Sc., Ph.D as Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Aninditia Sabdaningsih, S.Si., M.Si and Dr. Drs. Subagiyo, M.Si. as the Heads of the FPIK Undip Postgraduate Study Programs. KKP representatives hope that the learning process of civil servants who are continuing their study at FPIK Undip can run smoothly. “We hope that the students from KKP can do their studies smoothly and graduate on time. We also hope that in the future there will be more civil servants of KKP that choose to continue their studies at FPIK Undip,” said Prof. Tri. (Adm)

The FPIK Competency Assessors’ Certificate of Competency was Successfully Renewed

FPIK Semarang (1/03), the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) Competency Assessor Certificate was handed over to the 2024 competency assessors of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Diponegoro University. Arief Budhi Dharma, as one of the BNSP Master Assessors, handed over the certificate at the FPIK Undip senate meeting room, Building A, Tembalang.
The Competency Assessor Certificate were presented to 11 lecturers from the Capture Fisheries, Fishery Products Technology, Aquatic Resources Management, and Aquaculture Study Programs. The BNSP Competency Assessor Certificate was given to the Undip FPIK Competency Assessors as an extension of the validity period of the assessor certificate which had previously expired. The certificate is given after the assessors take part in training as an upgrading of Competency Assessors provided by BNSP and is valid for the next 3 years. (Adm)
