Semarang – The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) Universitas Diponegoro organized an alumni outreach event titled “Consolidation and Networking of Alumni for the World Class University Program” under the theme “Alumni Engagement for Global Excellence: Strategies Toward a World Class University.” The event was held on February 10, 2026, at the Auditorium FPIK Undip, Tembalang Campus, Semarang.
This initiative forms part of the university’s strategic efforts to strengthen alumni engagement in supporting Universitas Diponegoro’s vision of becoming a world-class university. Through this forum, the university aims to foster sustainable collaboration between alumni and the academic community, particularly in enhancing graduate quality and expanding professional networks at both national and global levels.
The event featured two FPIK Undip alumni currently working in the banking sector: Ega Heidar Hogantoro (Capture Fisheries Study Program, Class of 2019) and Nareswari Dahniar Lufna (Fish Product Technology Study Program, Class of 2016), who are now professionals at BRI.
During their presentation, the speakers delivered a session titled “Tips for Succeeding in Job Interviews,” highlighting practical strategies for entering the workforce. The session covered key topics such as building personal branding, understanding employer expectations, answering interview questions effectively, and maintaining professionalism and confidence throughout the recruitment process.
The event was conducted interactively, featuring a discussion and Q&A session that allowed participants to gain firsthand insights into recruitment dynamics within the industry. Participants showed strong enthusiasm, raising various questions related to career preparation and challenges in transitioning to professional life.
Through this activity, FPIK Undip expects to further strengthen synergy between alumni and the university while improving graduates’ readiness to compete in the global job market. Alumni engagement is expected to remain a vital pillar in supporting the World Class University ecosystem at Universitas Diponegoro.
