FPIK UNDIP Receives Visit from the President and Delegation of Mindanao State University, Philippines

Semarang — On Wednesday, 20 January 2026, Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) welcomed an official visit from the President and several Deans of various faculties from Mindanao State University (MSU), Philippines. The visit aimed to conduct benchmarking activities and to strengthen international cooperation in the field of higher education.

During the main agenda, the President and Deans of MSU held discussions with the leadership of Universitas Diponegoro, faculty deans, and representatives from the UNDIP International Office. The discussions focused on curriculum quality control, educational systems, opportunities for academic collaboration, joint research, and community service programs. The session was conducted in a constructive and interactive manner, reflecting the strong commitment of both institutions to enhancing academic quality and expanding international networks.

The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) UNDIP actively participated in the event, represented by the Dean of FPIK, Prof. Agus Trianto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., and the Head of the International Affairs Office of FPIK, Seto Windarto, S.Pi., M.Sc., M.P. On this occasion, FPIK UNDIP presented various potentials for academic and research collaboration relevant to the fields of marine and fisheries sciences.

The agenda continued with a visit by several MSU Deans to the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences UNDIP, represented by Dr. Ma-ann M. Camarin (Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences) and Dr. Henry P. Aringa (Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics). The delegation was warmly welcomed by the FPIK Dean’s Board and departmental management teams. Each department delivered presentations on academic profiles, scientific focuses, and potential areas of collaboration that could be developed jointly with MSU.

The visit was followed by a tour of laboratories and supporting facilities within FPIK UNDIP. During this session, Seto Windarto, as Head of the International Affairs Office of FPIK, served as the guide, providing direct explanations regarding laboratory functions, academic activities, and facilities supporting learning and research. The MSU delegation showed strong enthusiasm, actively engaged in discussions, and expressed their interest and appreciation for the management and quality of facilities at FPIK UNDIP.

This visit is expected to serve as a strategic initial step in building and strengthening sustainable collaboration between Universitas Diponegoro and Mindanao State University, particularly in the areas of education, research, and international community engagement.
