Semarang (21/11) — The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), Diponegoro University, once again presented a major event in the field of aquaculture through Aquaculture Business Day (ABD) 2025. Designed to bring together entrepreneurs, students, and innovators on a shared stage of collaboration and aquaculture business development, this event also served as the culmination of the practicum series for the Innovation and Aquaculture Business course. ABD 2025 was held on 21 November 2025 at the foyer of the FPIK Undip Auditorium.

In her remarks, Prof. Diah Permata Wijayanti, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FPIK Undip, expressed her appreciation and encouragement for the successful implementation of the event. She emphasized that events like ABD play a crucial role in fostering student creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
The 2025 ABD featured a variety of engaging activities, including:
- A bazaar showcasing fisheries-based products and student entrepreneurship
- A creative photo booth
- Art performances by FPIK students
- A talk show with practitioners and industry players in the fisheries sector
- A Business Expo & Fisheries Product Exhibition
From early morning, the event drew a high level of enthusiasm from visitors. Crowds filled the venue, consisting of both members of the Undip academic community and the general public even though the event was briefly interrupted by rain.

The numerous booths presented were among the main attractions. Visitors could explore a wide range of contemporary fishery-based processed products, including innovative snacks, foods and beverages infused with aquaculture ingredients, and various creative desserts developed by students. This diversity of products demonstrates the vast potential of aquaculture innovation to be developed and embraced by a broader audience.
Through this event, students not only gained insights into the aquaculture business world but also had the opportunity to expand their networks and showcase their products and innovations to the public.
The success of ABD 2025 highlights the strong potential of FPIK students in creating aquaculture-based innovations. It is hoped that this event will continue to inspire the emergence of more outstanding ideas and products that will have an even greater impact on the fisheries sector in the future.
