Semarang, 2025 – Students from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK), Diponegoro University, proudly represented Indonesia at The 46th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS) 2025, held in Makassar, Indonesia, on October 27-31, 2025. The conference carried the theme “Harnessing Remote Sensing for Global Sustainability, Resilience, and Technology Innovation.”

ACRS is an annual scientific forum that brings together researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world. This year’s event was organized by the Indonesian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS/MAPIN) in collaboration with the Asian Association on Remote Sensing (AARS).
Neisha Alfiza, Marito Gracia Lumbangaol, Karina Miranti Arsita Putri, Seno Aji Haning Mahendra, and Muhammad Renaldi Zhafran study integrating radar technology, mathematical modeling, and spatial analysis in oceanography. Their paper, “Study of Internal Solitary Waves Characteristics Using Synthetic Aperture Radar Imagery and the Korteweg-de Vries Numerical Model in the Southern Andaman Sea,” explores internal solitary wave dynamics through the integration of SAR imagery and KdV modeling.

Their participation highlights UNDIP’s commitment to advancing marine science and remote sensing research while strengthening international collaboration for global sustainability and environmental resilience.
