The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Trenggono with the Dean of FPIK Undip, Prof. Tri and Deputy Chancellor I Undip, Prof. Faisal conducted a fish seed distribution in the Jatibarang Reservoir on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.The one hundred and fifty thousand seeds of nilem and tawes that were stocked were supported by the Central Java Provincial Marine and Fisheries Service, the Semarang City Fisheries Service, and the Sukabumi Fish Seed Center. Jatibarang Reservoir is located in the tourist village of Jamalsari, Kandri sub-district, Gunungpati, which is a target village for the Aquatic Resources Management Study Program, FPIK Undip.

The seeding activity is part of a series of activities in the context of implementing the Indonesian Fisheries and Marine Higher Education Leadership Forum with the theme “Optimizing Independent Learning of the Independent Campus to Face Challenges and Opportunities in Marine and Fisheries in the Industrial Era 5.0”. with the theme of the National Seminar “Society 5.0 and Disaster Resilience for Sustainable Coastal Development” and the International Conference on Environmental Development of Tropical and Coastal Areas or The 7th International Conference on Tropical and Coastal Region Eco Development (ICTCRED) with the topic “Society 5.0 and Disaster Resilience for Sustainable Coastal Development” which is carried out online, where FPIK Undip is the host. In addition to stocking fish seeds, the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia also held the distribution of 400 joy packages.
