Tegal, July 25, 2026 – The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), organized a Faculty Capacity Building Program on July 24–25, 2026, at the Guci Hot Spring Tourism Area in Tegal Regency. The program brought together lecturers from various study programs within FPIK UNDIP as part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to strengthen human resource capacity, foster a collaborative work culture, and promote sustainable excellence in academic performance.
The program was designed around a spirit of togetherness, supporting FPIK UNDIP’s aspiration to become an adaptive, innovative, and competitive faculty at both national and international levels. Through a series of interactive sessions and group activities, lecturers were encouraged to strengthen communication, enhance cross-program collaboration, and build a shared commitment to advancing the faculty’s vision and mission.
Prof. Agus Trianto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of FPIK UNDIP, emphasized that capacity building provides an important opportunity to strengthen relationships among faculty members while fostering a collective spirit in responding to the increasingly dynamic challenges facing higher education.
“The success of a faculty is determined not only by individual achievements but also by the strength of collaboration and synergy across the academic community. Through this program, we hope our lecturers will become even more connected, share a common sense of purpose, and work together to achieve sustainable excellence for FPIK UNDIP,” he said.
Over the two-day program, participants took part in a range of activities designed to strengthen teamwork, leadership, communication, and collaborative problem-solving skills. Beyond individual development, the program also provided an opportunity for lecturers from different departments and study programs to build stronger professional relationships, contributing to a harmonious, productive, and supportive working environment.
The natural and refreshing setting of the Guci Hot Spring Tourism Area provided a relaxed yet meaningful environment for learning and team development. Through various group activities, participants had opportunities to get to know one another better, build trust, and strengthen their sense of shared purpose in pursuing common institutional goals.
The Faculty Capacity Building Program reflects FPIK UNDIP’s continued commitment to developing high-quality human resources as a foundation for excellence in education, research, community engagement, and faculty governance.
