Semarang – The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), welcomed an educational visit from SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung on Thursday, April 23, 2026. The event took place at the FPIK Auditorium, Tembalang Campus, Semarang, and was attended by 125 eleventh-grade students along with their teachers and companions, who showed great enthusiasm throughout the program.
The event began with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, as a form of respect and to instill a sense of nationalism. This was followed by a welcoming speech from the Vice Dean for Resources of FPIK Undip, Dr. Putut Har Riyadi, S.Pi., M.Si. In his remarks, he expressed appreciation for the visit and briefly introduced the profile of FPIK Undip, including its academic environment and student development opportunities.
A representative from SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung, the OSIS Advisor Hendrawan Sugiarto, S.Pd., Gr., also delivered a speech. He expressed gratitude for the warm reception from FPIK Undip and shared his hope that the visit would provide valuable insights and motivation for students in planning their higher education. On this occasion, he also mentioned that two students from SMA YP Unila have successfully been admitted to FPIK Undip through the SNBT pathway, and he hopes that more students will follow in their footsteps in the future.
The event continued with a presentation session by FPIK Undip students, who shared their experiences regarding academic life at Universitas Diponegoro, particularly within FPIK. During this session, the visiting students gained a clearer understanding of campus life, including lectures, practical sessions, student organizations, and various self-development opportunities available to students.
Through this visit, it is expected that the students of SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung will gain better insight into higher education, especially in the fields of fisheries and marine science, and become more motivated to pursue their studies at the university level. FPIK Undip remains committed to fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge in support of improving the quality of education for Indonesia’s younger generation.
