Semarang – The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), welcomed an educational visit from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Kota Malang on Monday, April 7, 2026. The event took place at the FPIK Undip Auditorium Building, Tembalang Campus, Semarang, and was attended by 115 students.
This visit was part of an introduction-to-university program aimed at providing students of MAN 2 Kota Malang with direct insight into higher education, particularly within FPIK Undip. The event began with welcoming remarks from the FPIK Manager and a representative of MAN 2 Kota Malang.

In his remarks, Drs. Heri Kusdianto, representing the Head of MAN 2 Kota Malang, emphasized the importance of direct visits to universities. He stated that although information about universities is widely accessible through the internet, firsthand experience remains invaluable.
“This program is designed to help students get to know universities more closely. Although information is easily accessible online, it is still not sufficient without direct interaction. Through this visit, students are expected to become more confident in determining their future educational choices,” he explained.

The event continued with a presentation session delivered by Undip students, introducing various study programs available at Universitas Diponegoro, especially within FPIK. During this session, students gained insights into academic fields, career prospects, as well as academic and non-academic experiences at FPIK.
Through this activity, it is expected that students of MAN 2 Kota Malang will gain a more comprehensive understanding of university life, enabling them to make informed decisions based on their interests and potential.
FPIK Undip remains open to educational visits as part of its commitment to introducing higher education to younger generations and strengthening partnerships with educational institutions across regions.
