Semarang – The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro (FPIK Undip), held the inauguration of Building E alongside the groundbreaking ceremony for the Joint Parking Building of FPIK–FKM on Friday, 13 February 2026. The event took place at the promenade of Building E, Kampus Tembalang, and was attended by administrative staff of FPIK and Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Diponegoro (FKM), the deans, and members of the university leadership.
The inauguration of Building E and the laying of the first stone for the joint parking facility were led directly by the Rector of Diponegoro University. This initiative forms part of the university’s continuous efforts to enhance infrastructure quality in order to optimally support the implementation of the tridharma of higher education.
The event commenced with opening remarks from faculty and university leaders, highlighting the importance of strengthening campus infrastructure as a foundation for fostering a conducive, productive, and competitive academic environment. This was followed by a ceremonial tumpeng cutting as a symbolic inauguration of Building E.
The program then continued with the groundbreaking ceremony for the Joint Parking Building of FPIK–FKM, marked by the laying of the first stone by the Rector accompanied by the deans and faculty leaders. The development of this facility is expected to improve accessibility, orderliness, and overall comfort within the campus area for the academic community.
Through the inauguration of Building E and the commencement of the joint parking building construction, FPIK Undip reaffirms its commitment to continuously improving educational services and facilities as part of its strategy to strengthen institutional governance toward a more excellent and sustainable university.
