The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK), Diponegoro University, welcomed a benchmarking visit from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Jenderal Soedirman University (FPIK Unsoed), on Wednesday–Thursday, 14–15 January 2026, at the Diponegoro University Tembalang Campus, Semarang. This activity was part of the Implementation of Arrangement under the cooperation between the two faculties in the fields of education and research.
This activity was conducted as a follow-up to the Cooperation Agreement signed by FPIK Unsoed and FPIK Undip in 2024, which remains valid until 2029. The collaboration covers educational activities, including public lectures, practitioner-led teaching, the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, certification, and curriculum development, as well as research collaboration through joint research proposal development, co-authorship of research outputs, and the dissemination of research results to the public and stakeholders.
The benchmarking activities focused on optimizing the Revenue Generating Unit (RGU) of laboratory services and improving the performance of the financial management division. On this occasion, FPIK Undip shared best practices related to professional, effective, and sustainable laboratory service management, as well as financial governance that supports the enhancement of faculty service quality.

Through this activity, FPIK Unsoed is expected to gain strategic references for the development of laboratory services and the strengthening of financial performance. Meanwhile, FPIK Undip remains committed to strengthening its role as a strategic partner in the development of higher education governance, particularly in the fields of fisheries and marine science, through synergy and inter-institutional collaboration.
