Mr Ken Mackay which is the representative of MFF (Mangroves For the Future, Bangkok) visited Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan (Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences) Diponegoro University, on December 11, 2009.
The aim of this visit was to evaluate the implementation of regional training held in the year 2008 as well as to see the location proposed by Department of Marine and Fisheries Affair Jakarta in their large grant proposal in collaboration with FPIK UNDIP ie at the coastal area of Demak District such as Morosari beach dan Morodemak beach.
The Dean Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu kelautan, Prof.. Johannes Hutabarat in the meeting stated that in principle FPIK UNDIP always ready to support the various activities that lead to the development of marine and fisheries sectors. For FPIK UNDIP activities associated with mangrove conservation is a routine activity carried out in various coastal areas, especially in Central Java. TheDean also hope that proposal for TOT on mangrove proposed by FPIK UNDIP will be granted, so that the activities can be conducted in the year 2010. |
